Juicy, flavorful. Flesh firm and fine textured. Good for eating or cider. Similar to Golden Russet.

Fruit is medium to large with clear, smooth, glossy yellow skin covered with red shading and striping. The yellowish flesh is fine-grained, crisp, and juicy and immensely more flavorful than the Red Delicious.

Honey Gold

Hardy substitute for Golden Delicious developed especially for cold northern areas. Golden Delicious flavor - Haralson hardiness. Medium to large golden to greenish fruit with very smooth finish and reddish bronze blush. Flavor is sweeter and more bland than Golden Delicious. High quality. Superior storage qualities. Moderately vigorous tree. Crop is good. Susceptible to fire blight. Hardy to -50 degrees with occasional winter injury.

A light green, russet skinned apple that is very juicy, sweet and crisp. It has many uses, bears early and has good disease resistance.

Skin is mottled red over yellow. The flesh is very crisp and is excellent for eating. Good keeper - up to 5 months. Topped with McIntosh and Delicious for fresh eating in taste tests.
Hooples Antique Gold
Origin: Ohio recent (Sport of Golden Delicious) Ripens: Oct Zone: 3 - 6
The antique in this case refers to antique gold coloration with russeting, not the age of the variety. Found on the Hoople Fruit Farm. Some stripes against a yellow background, sometimes russeted, medium to large size. Rich, lightly aromatic flavor, juicy sweet flesh with excellent flavor.

Among the best early to mid-season eating apples. Fruit usually large with clear red skin in our climate, but color is variable. Flesh is white, moderately firm, sweet and rich.
Hudsons Golden Gem
Origin: Oregon 1930 Ripens: Oct/Nov Zone: 3 - 6
Fruit conical, elongated, yellow russet. Perhaps the finest eating russet with crisp breaking sugary flesh and distinct pear flavor. Quite disease resistant to apple scab, powdery mildew and somewhat resistant to fire blight.
Hunt Russet

Uses: Baking, Cider, Pies, Sauce
Fruit medium sized, golden russet with broken patches of smooth bright red on the cheek. It is quite attractive for a russet apple, excellent in quality with a pear-like taste. A long lived, vigorous tree. Excellent keeper.
